Trek to Yomi

Developers Leonard Menchiari and Flying Wild Hog’s upcoming samurai action game Trek to Yomi has garnered quite a bit of attention over time thanks to its eye-catching black-and-white visual aesthetic and its promise of a cinematic and authentic experience, and with the game’s launch on May 5th right around the corner, publisher Devolver Digital has released a launch trailer for it.

The launch trailer specifically showcases quick shots of various encounters throughout the game, such as a showdown on top of a breaking bridge, the player character going through a burning village and slicing up enemies, some supernatural scenes, and more. The trailer ensures that much is not given away where the story is concerned, while also doing a solid job of offering plenty of glimpses at what it has in store. Check it out below.

Trek to Yomi follows the journey of the protagonist Hiroki, who is charged to protect his town and its people from new threats after making a promise to his dying master. The game is set to launch or May 5 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
