MultiVersus Will Potentially Have Joker, Godzilla, Samurai Jack and Scorpion as Fighters – Rumor

The leaker who first revealed the game's existence says several may not be in the game at launch since "most of the team isn’t thinking about the game in that sense."

Way back before its official announcement, Player First Games’ MultiVersus was leaked by a Reddit user named hugeleakeractually (yes, really). Now they’re back and have revealed new, unannounced characters, though they doubt that most of them – even those datamined – will be available at launch. “Defining launch is hard to do anyways, most of the team isn’t thinking about the game in that sense. It’s always been intended to be a live service title. By some definitions, this Alpha test was the ‘launch.'”

Regardless, the list includes Joker and Raven from DC; Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes; Rick and Morty from Rick and Morty; Lebron James (most likely his Space Jam: A New Legacy form); Scooby Doo; and the Hound and Daenerys from Game of Thrones. Gizmo from Gremlins, the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz, Fred Flintstone from The Flintstones and Godzilla are also present. Johnny Bravo (who was in the initial patch) has had some work done and will come eventually.

The leaker indicates that these are datamined and “mostly accurate.” While others have been datamined by other players, the leaker could only confirm the above. They’re apparently “mostly finished” so we could hear more in the coming months.

A few others that characters that are “very likely” coming are:

  • Samurai Jack – Samurai Jack
  • The Powerpuff Girls – Powerpuff Girls (all three as one fighter)
  • The Animaniacs – The Animaniacs (allegedly all three as one fighter)
  • Duck Dodgers/Daffy – Looney Tunes
  • Scorpion – Mortal Kombat
  • Ben 10 – Ben 10
  • Ted Lasso – Ted Lasso

MultiVersus recently had a closed alpha test – you can check out our impressions here. An open beta goes live in July with the full game out this year for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
