Battlefield 2042

Not too long ago, DICE confirmed that Battlefield 2042’s season one would finally be kicking off in early June, roughly seven months on from the game’s initial launch. Now, we might know exactly when to expect the shooter’s first multiplayer season and the new content it will bring with it.

Known insider Tom Henderson (in collaboration with XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker) has stated in a report published on Try Hard Guides that Battlefield 2042’s first season will kick off on June 9. In line with a previous recent report, that’ll be preceded by a full reveal for the season on June 7.

That full reveal will apparently entail three trailers- one for the new season of content (which will include one new multiplayer map, amongst other things), one for a new Specialist, and one focused on the Battle Pass, which DICE recently provided some details for.

All three trailers will supposedly go live simultaneously on June 7 at 8 AM PDT / 11 AM EDT / 4 PM BST. This will supposedly be followed promptly afterward by outlets and influencers publishing gameplay footage and impressions of season 1 content.

None of this is confirmed yet, of course, but it looks like we’ll know soon enough either way how accurate this is. Henderson’s track record is solid though, to say the least, so we’d suggest keeping your eyes peeled for an imminent announcement.

Battlefield 2042 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
