Humankind

Amplitude Studio and Sega’s 4X strategy title Humankind launched for PC nearly a year ago, bringing its own take on the style of gameplay that has been popularized by Creative Assembly’s Civilization games. Though it wasn’t the biggest release of the year by any stretch of the imagination, it was definitely a game worth playing- and soon, many more people will be able to dive into its offerings.

At Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live, it was announced that Humankind will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles later this year, on November 4. As those who’ve played Civilization on consoles will tell you, this is a genre that can work surprisingly well when played with a gamepad, so there’s definitely reason to be excited.

Meanwhile, Humankind’s second expansion, Cultures of Latin America, is also out now, along with a new free update call the Bolivar Patch. The expansion adds new music tracks, narrative events, independent people, and six new cultures and wonders each.

Check out both new trailers for Humankind below.
