Sonic Frontiers will launch later this year, and it’s promising to kickstart a whole new era for the series, so it’s no surprise that fans of the long-running platforming franchise have been keenly anticipating its launch. Ahead of that launch, Sega has showed off plenty of gameplay in recent weeks, but while we hadn’t seen much of the game running on a Switch until now, that’s no longer the case.

In the recent Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Sega brought a new trailer for Sonic Frontiers, finally showcasing what it will look like on the Switch. Its visuals are not going to win any awards, let’s put it that way, but the trailer does show off plenty of glimpses of the game’s speedy platforming, combat, and several areas of its open world (or open zone, as Sega insists on calling it) setting, Starfall Island. Meanwhile, Cyber Sace levels also get a few brief glimpses, offering more linear and scripted levels. Check it all out below.

Sonic Frontiers is out for the Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC this Holiday.
