Creative Assembly has revealed more details about its upcoming Immortal Empires update for Total War: Warhammer 3. This time around, the studio is talking about the dedicated factions Legendary Lords will be getting in the free update.

The first talking point in the update is the addition of Be’lakor as a playable Legendary Lord in Immortal Empires. Originally introduced in the Total War: Warhammer 3 as the antagonist of the Realm of Chaos campaign, Be’lakor will be a Legendary Lord for the Warriors of Chaos faction.

Starting off in the Isle of Wight in Albion, Be’lakor will have his own campaign mechanics that will make their debut in the Warriors of Chaos update. A few key features include the ability to access four Unholy Manifestations depending on the player’s Chaos God of choice, the ability to mark defeated human opponents with Chaos, and the ability to get Chaos Gifts—powerful-but-limited rewards that boost proficiency in battle or grant reinforcements.

Other Legendary Lords in the game will also be getting their own factions in Immortal Empires. Here’s the complete list:

  • Volkmar the Grim – The Cult of Sigmar: Having abandoned the Elector Counts, Volkmar now starts in the lower Southlands. Where Tomb Kings and Mannfred Von Carstein want to find the books, Volkmar wants to seal them away.
  • Grombrindal – The Ancestral Throng: Grombridal has moved to Naggaroth to wage war against the Witch King.
  • Helman Ghorst – Caravan of Blue Roses: Hoping to find necromancies that coul dbring his brothers back to life, Helman starts off closer to the Nagashizzar fortress in the east.
  • Vlad and Isabella Von Carstein – Sylvania: Both Legendary Lords will stay together and be playable in the same campaign. Picking one as your Legendary Lord makes the other an unlockable hero.
  • Sigvald The Magnificent – The Decadent Host: Sigvald hangs out in the Northwestern Chaos Wastes, and has new abilities to sdeuce units, and access to Slaanesh’s daemons.
  • Kholek Suneater – Heralds of the Tempest: The Dragon Ogre now starts out north of the Mountains of Mourn.

In an earlier update, Creative Assembly spoke about the starting positions for some of the factions in Immortal Empires. Immortal Empires will be a free update to Total War: Warhammer 3, and will be launched in beta form in August 3.
