Advance Wars as a series almost seems cursed. Fans were treated to the announcement of remake duology Advance Wars 1:2: Re-Boot Camp last year, but while the initial plan was to have the game out by December, that hasn’t come to pass. It’s seen a couple of delays until now, and currently doesn’t have a launch date or window attached. That window, however, may have been pushed all the way back into next year.
As reported by GameXplain in a recent video, Twitter user @enterzalman recently claimed that their pre-order for Advance Wars: Re-Boot Camp was now expecting a shipment sometime in February next year. Interestingly, the game’s page on website of the retailer – Danish retailer Coolshop – mentions that the game has a launch date of February 24, 2023.
This isn’t something that Nintendo has officially announced yet, so tread with caution here for now, though it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see Advance Wars being held back until then. When it was pushed back indefinitely from April earlier this year, it was due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Given the nature and content of the Advance Wars games, it’s likely that Nintendo will want to give it some more time before launch.
Either way, we’ll keep an eye out for more updates, so stay tuned.
Got an email about my Advance Wars preorder. They're now expecting it to ship in February. It's not official info but yeah
