Among the many games being delayed this year is Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp for the Nintendo Switch. Originally slated for April 8th, it’s been now coming at a later, unannounced date. The delay was made “in light of recent world events” as per Nintendo of Europe, which likely refers to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
Announced back at E3 2021, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a ground-up remake of the Game Boy Advance titles by WayForward. Along with revamped visuals, it includes Versus Mode, allowing four players to battle against each other. Though slated for last December, it would be delayed to Spring 2022 for more “fine tuning.”
Nintendo has stated it will provide updates on “a new release date” so it may not be much longer before it releases. Stay tuned in the meantime for more details and check out nearly 30 minutes of extensive gameplay footage here. You can also watch the latest trailer here.
