MultiVersus Open Beta Launches at 9 AM PDT Today with Preseason Battle Pass

The Warner Bros. crossover fighter will be free-to-play for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. Season 1 is slated to launch on August 9th.

The open beta for Player First Games’ platform fighter MultiVersus goes live today at 9 AM PDT. Along with characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Shaggy, Bugs Bunny, and Tom and Jerry, Finn the Human, Garnet and Reindog will be unlocked as part of the preview rotation. Available modes will include 2v2 (both against players and AI), 1v1, Free-for-All, 1-4 player local matches, custom online lobbies, The Lab and tutorials.

Players can also purchase Gleamium, the premium currency used to unlock characters, character variants (skins) and other cosmetics. The Preseason Battle Pass will also be available with free and premium tracks (the latter costing money to unlock and progress through). This will be live until August 8th with Season 1 launching on August 9th and adding new characters Rick and Morty and LeBron James. All progression and unlocks from the open beta will carry over.

System requirements for PC players have also been revealed – check them out below. Install size is less than 7 GB across all platforms. MultiVersus will be free-to-play for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for more details following the open beta’s release.
