FIFA 23 is promising some interesting changes and improvements with a number of its modes, from Career Mode to Pro Clubs, but as is always the case with EA Sports’ yearly series, the biggest attraction (and, thanks to how it’s monetized, the biggest money-maker) is going to be FIFA Ultimate Team. We’ve already got a lowdown of the biggest improvements we can expect to see in the mode this year, but EA has now also announced something else for fans to look forward to.

Curiously enough, EA Sports is collaborating with Marvel, and as part of this collaboration, a number of FUT Heroes will receive makeovers inspired by Marvel comics. What exactly does that mean? It means each hero will receive a special illustrated FUT item at the launch of the World Cup game mode, with base versions of FUT Heroes being available at launch of FIFA 23.

EA has revealed five FUT Heroes and their Marvel illustrations over on Twitter- namely, Ricardo Carvalho, Park Ji-Sung, Landon Donavan, Claudio Marchisio, and Yaya Toure. Check out their cards below.

FIFA 23 launches on September 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. It’ll also be available on Nintendo Switch as another Legacy Edition.
