Motive’s remake of Dead Space has been out for ten days, debuting in the top ten for Steam’s Weekly Global Top Sellers list. The jury is still out on sales, but it’s received extensive praise from critics. Check out the accolades trailer below, which highlights scores and acclaim from various publications. Based on Visceral’s 2008 sci-fi survival horror title, Dead Space is rebuilt from the ground up on the Frostbite Engine. Along with gorgeous visuals, protagonist Isaac Clarke is now fully voiced by Gunner Wright (with his appearance to match). New mechanics like the Peeling System, Intensity Director, new narrative side quests, and much more have also been added.

Dead Space is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Though it’s unknown where the franchise goes from here, producer Phil Ducharme said the team hopes to keep working on the series. It hasn’t had discussions with Electronic Arts on the future, so time will tell. Stay tuned until then.
