Tekken 8 - Jun Kazama

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released another new trailer for Tekken 8, this time focusing on Jun Kazama. Introduced in Tekken 2 (and appearing in Tekken Tag Tournament 2), she’s Jin’s mother, who was presumed missing. Of course, she’s returned in the sequel and seeks to bring hope. Check out her moves below.

Jun uses Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts, which focuses on throws, manipulating joints and using an opponent’s attack against them. In Tekken 8, she uses light rays to launch enemies into the air or send them flying. Her Super move is pretty impressive, as she purifies opponents with blinding light.

Tekken 8 is out sometime before April 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It removes Tekken 7’s Rage Drives and adds new mechanics like Heat Burst, Heat Engager, and more. Fighting EX Layer developer Arika is also involved in the development, which could mean rollback netcode for online multiplayer.
