Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon

Rumors about a new trailer for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon were true, as Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware have revealed the first gameplay for the mech title. Check it out below. True to recent leaks, it’s also confirmed to release on August 25th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.

The story concerns Coral, an energy source that incinerated Rubicon before the game’s events. It’s re-emerged, and various megacorps and factions want their fill. As an augmented mercenary on the planet Rubicon, players control their mech, which is highly customizable.

They can move incredibly fast and dash at a moment’s notice. There’s also a wide variety of weapons, from cluster missiles to lasers and energy swords. Players will explore a variety of environments, from mega-structures to underground factories, though they’ve fallen into ruin over time. They’re large and open, and though there are different objectives to complete (like recovering data logs), the mission-based structure remains the same.
