After years of anticipation and fervent hype, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launched last week, and if its sales in the UK are any indication, people are flocking to it in droves. While the experience is (unlike a worrying number of recent releases) a solid one from a technical perspective, it does come with a few niggles of its own, which Nintendo has now started to iron out.

The first post-launch patch for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is update 1.1.0, has now rolled out, and it brings a couple of minor changes and fixes. For starters, players will now be able to input Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese characters when setting names for horses. Meanwhile, Nintendo says it has also made other fixes “for a more pleasing gameplay experience”.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on the Nintendo Switch. Interestingly enough, its development team has already started planning the next game in the franchise- read more on that through here.
