A new feature of Steam, the trial allows players to explore as much of the remake as they'd like within the allotted 90 minutes.

Motive Studio’s acclaimed Dead Space Remake is 20 percent off on PC via Steam. It’s a good deal, but more interesting is the free 90-minute trial that lets players try the game for free.

Steam usually offers a two-hour window to refund a game if someone doesn’t like it. With this trial, you can explore as much as possible within the time limit and not have to bother with refunds. It remains to be seen if there will be other Steam game trials in the coming months.

However, the Steam Community post notes this as an “event” that ends on May 29th at 10 AM PST. Whether this means the trial won’t be available past that point is unknown. But if you haven’t played Dead Space Remake yet, now is as good a time as any.

Dead Space Remake is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out our official review here. Though Motive and Electronic Arts haven’t confirmed if the other titles are being remade, the publisher released a survey asking fans if they would be interested.
