The Callisto Protocol - Riot Mode

Striking Distance Studios’ The Callisto Protocol has received a new update which adds the Horde Mode-esque Riot Mode. As part of the Riot Bundle, Riot Mode sees players venturing into a new area of Black Iron Prison and fighting off as many enemies as possible. There’s no end to the waves – fight, survive and rack up a higher score.

Enemies become tougher with each wave, but fortunately, you can earn Credits and upgrade weapons. You can also open containers to collect GRP and Health. As things get dicey, Rampage Mode can be activated, which lets you increase GRP use, insta-kill enemies and gain unlimited ammo.

Overall, it’s a pretty big change of pace from the base game, as you’re constantly on your toes, fighting against enemies. And if you earn enough Credits, there are two new outfits to purchase. Along with Riot Mode, the Riot Bundle contains the Prospector Skin Collection and new death animations for enemies.

The Callisto Protocol is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our review for the base game here.
