Overwatch 2 - Flashpoint

Blizzard Entertainment’s next season of Overwatch 2 starts tomorrow, June 13th, and adds a fantasy twist to things with QuestWatch and a new Mythic Tracer skin. However, on August 10th, the team is gearing up for its biggest season with Invasion. It adds new Story missions, with Overwatch reuniting to battle Null Sector, and new details have been revealed via Xbox Wire.

In addition to wreaking havoc, the latter is kidnapping Omnics for some strange purpose, which players must discern. There are three Story Missions to play through, with old and new allies to choose from and enemies like Annihilators and Stalkers to fight.

Aside from the Story Missions, players can also partake in a bonus co-op mission on King’s Row as they guide the Push bot in new areas. The objective is to save Tracer’s friend and the Omnic Underworld. In PvP, there’s a new core mode, Flashpoint that’s also getting two new maps. The objective is to capture three points, called Flashpoints. It sounds like Control from Destiny 2.

As for Hero Mastery, it presents various courses for different heroes to test their skills and rank on the global leaderboards. A few will be available for “select” heroes, but more are coming in future seasons. The Firing Range is also a new addition to the Practice Range and includes various settings and targets to practice your aim.

Finally, Game Pass members can access the New Heroes Starter Park as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It includes Sojourn, Ramattra, Kiriko, Junker Queen, Lifeweaver and the new Support hero, each with a Legendary skin and other cosmetics. As for the next hero, Blizzard will “shine more light” on them later, so stay tuned.
