NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1 has had some insane trailers till now, but series creator Ed Boon promised the craziest one yet at Gamescom Opening Night Live. It showcases the Rulers of Outworld – General Shao, who is Shao Kahn before he attained the title, and Empress Sindel. Check out their moves below.
General Shao utilizes an axe and can slam it down, grab an enemy and push them into it. He can also raise the axe and slam it down in a powerful wave. As for Sindel, she can still use her voice to damage enemies, but her hair is even more versatile than before, tossing and slamming enemies left and right.
Among the new Kameo Fighters is Motaro, who can create a shield to reflect projectiles. Raiden is also seen in action, acting as Earthrealm’s champion. His lightning powers are potent, and it’s possible to juggle enemies about while executing some sick combos.
Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
