As promised, Ubisoft shared a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a return to the classic stealth gameplay of old-school titles developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux. It sees Basim, the protagonist, venturing through Baghdad in the ninth century, taking down various targets en route to assassinating the Order of the Ancients’ members.
Unlike other titles like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla, the map in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is like Revelations or Unity in scale. It’s smaller but packed with stuff to do, and players can immerse themselves in the city’s history, complete with full Arabic voice-acting. In terms of playtime, you can expect it to last 20 to 30 hours, depending on your level of completion.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on October 5th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. Head here for more details on how the studio recreated Baghdad in this behind-the-scenes video. You can also check out extensive gameplay here.
