Season 6 of Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch 2 is ongoing, with the Invasion story missions landing with average fanfare. For those still playing, the mid-season update is due on September 7th, with Hero Mastery also going live. There’s a slight delay for the mode, which was supposed to be released on September 5th.

Hero Mastery involves obstacle courses with each character as you destroy bots, traverse the environment and more. A handful of heroes will have Hero Mastery levels available, each tailored to their skill set like Sojourn sliding under narrow passages and slaying enemies with her railgun. Leaderboards are also available to compare clear times with other players.

The update will also include hero balance changes, though the extent of those is yet to be revealed. Perhaps dominant picks like Orisa and Bastion will be reeled in? Time will tell, so stay tuned. Check out the roadmap for the rest of Season 6 here.

Overwatch 2 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It also launched on Steam last month and faced significant review-bombing.
