Lords of the Fallen is a souls-like, and reflects all of the mechanics players are used to in this genre, including grinding for XP, dubbed ‘Vigor’ in this game. This Lords of the Fallen guide will highlight the ideal location for farming said Vigor quickly and efficiently for maximum benefit.

Bellroom

Vestige Of Blind Agatha

The absolute best place to farm for Vigor even fifty hours into the game is this particular Vestige. The Vestige Of Blind Agatha is the fifth Vestige to be unlocked, after Sanctuary, Windmill and Village. This is fairly early in the game, and will not spoil your initial hours of play by making you excessively overpowered too soon. The Vestige is unmissable as well, so simply progress through the beginning of the game as normal.

Once you arrive at the Vestige, immediately visible in the short tunnel ahead on the left path, will be the spiked buckethead enemy known as the Ardent Penitent. You can choose to battle him normally, use your Umbral magic, kite him into the chamber, or lure him further outside. All of those involve first extracting the parasite, and a lot of needless time wasting. But your best bet is to simply run right past him to the edge of the wooden platform outside and then quickly side step. The Ardent Penitent will be following close behind you, and will end up charging straight over the edge, granting you the 500 odd Vigor automatically.

The other, lesser enemy in this location is worth about 75 odd Vigor, and is much easier to contend with. Once that is done, simply make the short jog back to the Vestige and rest up to reset the section. Rinse and repeat. The entire loop should not take more than 30 seconds and amounts to over 1,000 Vigor per minute or almost 70,000 Vigor per hour.

Because this entire area is one big spiral path sitting on top of itself, you could also continue the run without resetting, by taking the right path next to the Vestige, and entering the Umbral for the multiplier as well. This will eventually lead you through many lesser enemies as well as more Ardent Penitents to lure off edges. You will end up directly over the wooden platform where you led the first Ardent Penitent to its death.

The entire run is worth almost 10,000 Vigor and can take as much as ten minutes, which works out to being almost equivalent to the shorter method above. Do this if you find the former monotonous, or if you are also attempting to farm other resources such as Vestige Seeds for creating your own Vestige spawns, Vestige Moths, Lucky Paws, and Plucked Eyeballs, as well as the Ardent Penitent’s own equipment, especially the Ardent Penitent Head Cage itself.

And that is the best farming location for Vigor and other resources in Lords of the Fallen.
