PSP exclusive Final Fantasy Type-0 hasn’t been confirmed for a western release yet, but Producer Hajime Tabata is happy enough as of now with the incredible sales it got in Japan itself. He told Famitsu (via Andriasang) that a sequel is already in the works.
A “framework” for a sequel, Tabata said, “is already being worked on”. Sales of Type-0 were “very good”, according to him. It topped all charts, having already sold half a million copies, and it was met with great reviews as well.
But Tabata first wants to launch a sequel to PSP exclusive The 3rd Birthday, which too sold well but was not received very well.
