PlayStation Network has seen impressive growth over the years, to the point where it’s not become a vital (and thriving) pillar of the PlayStation ecosystem. In fact, last month, it enjoyed the best month it has ever had in terms of the number of active users it saw.

Sony revealed during its recent CES 2024 press conference that PlayStation Network had over 123 million active users in December 2023, the highest monthly active users it has ever seen. Its previous peak was 112 million monthly active users exactly a year ago, in December of 2022.

At last count, as of June 30, PSN had 108 million monthly active users.

PSN is, of course, central to the online and social experience on all PlayStation platforms, but previous reports have suggested that Sony is also considering bringing integration with the service to its games’ PC ports. Should that happen, the service will inevitably enjoy another surge in its active userbase.
