Developer and publisher Nexon has announced that medieval multiplayer free-to-play title Warhaven is coming to a close. The game’s online services are being taken down on April 5. In the announcement, the studio said that players will not be able to purchase in-game items, as WP charge is being suspended today.

Warhaven has been under development for quite some time, with even the studio dating the game’s first alpha test to back in 2021. The game was released as an Early Access title on Steam back in September 2023, and has since seen constant updates like the addition of new items and events.

“From the 1st alpha test in 2021 to the global early access in 2023, Warhaven has come this far, thanks to everyone’s love and support,” said the studio in its announcement. “We want to express our gratitude for the love and care you have shown for Warhaven.”

Warhaven pits two teams of 16 players each against each other in medieval warfare. The game features different game modes like the objective-oriented Dominion or the action-centric Skirmish modes. The game launched with six different playable classes.

For the sake of context, at the time of writing, Warhaven‘s aggregated reviews on Steam sits at Mixed, with several reviews praising the title’s core gameplay, while criticising the lack of balance in the game’s combat. Other players noted that the game needed more development time for the sake of polish.
