Pete Hines: Fallout New Vegas developer wrong about PS3 lag issues

Earlier we reported why the PS3 version of Skyrim was facing lag issues, you can read about that here. Fallout New Vegas developer had mentioned that it is due to PS3’s divided memory, which is causing the issue.

Pete Hines, community manager of Bethesda Games has mentioned this news is indeed fake and Bethesda has fixed all these issues.

“Josh Sawyer did not work on Skyrim nor this engine and his comments don’t reflect how the current tech works,” he said. “No, it isn’t true. He brings up issues we solved long ago,” he again clarified to a different question.

I think this is pretty much bullshit, as the engine is most probably same and even Fallout 3 and New Vegas had the same issues. Shipping a broken copy deserves no benefit of the doubt.

There are a few workarounds for this lag problem, which involves turning off your PS3 after a few hours of gaming. So there you go…
