You can earn XP in numerous ways while playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which is necessary to level up each character and unlock their Talents. It’s also vital in the endgame for higher Invasion Levels (which serve as World Tiers) and investing more points into Squad Levels for further stat boosts. Here are some quick ways to level up.
How to Level Up Quickly
Start on the Hardest Difficulty
From the outset, there are three difficulty levels – Walk in the Park, Best Pay Attention and Sweating Bullets. The third one should be your ideal choice since it results in 20 percent more XP and 30 percent additional resources earned. Encounters are more challenging as enemies take less and deal more damage, but the benefits are worth it.
As you earn more XP and finish the story, you’ll unlock Invasion Levels. These are great for further increasing XP and resource gain as Metropolis becomes more dangerous. It means that running around and destroying rooftop installations, Incubators, Carrier Drones, Cargonauts and whatnot – which you should be doing between story missions – will be much more lucrative. It also means more drops, which you can dismantle for materials – always a good thing when you have to Elite a weapon, rank up Afflictions on Grenades and reroll Augments.
Complete Story Missions
As noted above, completing the story is your quickest path to unlock Invasion Levels, which provide more XP and resource gain. You should wait until level 30 before tackling the endgame, but lower Mastery Tiers are possible (almost hilariously so). The Story Missions will also introduce various new mechanics, from Afflictions and Nano-Enhancement to Augment rerolling. If you’re keen on better Augment choices or more Contract Slots, complete the Support Squad Missions. They’ll also give XP and resources with Promethium in the end game.
Contracts
Hack will eventually give you the ability to take on Contracts. Like Bounties, they offer different rewards, from resources and XP to Promethium and Credits. There’s a Daily Contract Bonus, which gives additional rewards per Contract completed. Get those out of the way as soon as possible, even if that means taking on Contracts which don’t give XP.
After that, you can safely ignore the Credits if you’ve been playing on the hardest or even normal difficulty. Even the common Resources start falling from the sky when you start the Incursions. Focus on the Contracts that give you XP, Promethium or the rarer resources.
Prioritize completing multiple Contracts at once. Take an area-specific Contract, do a side mission and tick off as many tasks as possible. Keep stacking XP Contracts and getting them done, but always ensure multiple things are done. If you’re not completing a Contract and a better one shows up, cancel it and take the latter instead.
Psyched-Up
I wouldn’t advise switching characters when grinding the endgame. It’s not the worst thing to do while playing through the story, but eventually, managing multiple Shields, Charms, Traversal Mods, and weapons (especially since some characters share the same types) becomes tedious.
Nevertheless, if you’re done with a character and want to level up others, throw on some Infamy Sets, queue up all the Psyched-Up Missions and go to town. Knock down the Invasion Level slightly if things get too rough, and hopefully, you should get the rest of the Squad leveled up in no time.
Endgame Farming
Enjoy those three Incursion Missions because you’re farming those non-stop to advance your Mastery Tiers, earn better loot and garner more XP. Killing Time is meant for earning Promethium, which is necessary for entering an Incursion. Killing Time (Hardcore) is preferable since you can dip anytime instead of waiting for the clock to run out, but the regular version is fine if you’re afraid of no revives.
While venturing through Metropolis, kill any of the Red Cargonauts since they’ll also give Promethium, Credits and XP. Farming the Mayhem mission for drops is fine, but considering how long it can take solo due to how irritating the fight is, the Incursions are better for XP.
