Elden Ring - Shadow of the Erdtree_02

FromSoftware’s first paid expansion for Elden Ring and its largest to date, Shadow of the Erdtree, is nearly here. It launches on June 21st for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC, though some regions can access it much earlier than others. Perhaps for that reason, the developer is asking fans to be “please be mindful of spoilers” with the expansion’s launch.

“With the release of the expansion of Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, please be mindful of spoilers for those who want to tread into the Realm of Shadow with nothing but their determination and their minds unclouded,” it wrote on Twitter.

Based on previews thus far, Shadow of the Erdtree appears to be a massive experience. The region is vaster than Limgrave but also denser, with FromSoft aiming for less distinction between the open fields and dungeons. Two dungeons (and their bosses) have been detailed, while weapon collectors can look forward to around 100 new options. Then you have the optional challenges, new Spirit Summons, new collectibles like Scadurtree Fragments and more.

Head here for more details. Base game owners should also note the day one patch, which includes five new hairstyles and features like a Recent Items tab for easier sorting.
