Three years on from the launch of Tales of Arise, fans of Bandai Namco’s JRPG franchise are growing increasingly antsy about when we’ll be seeing its next instalment, and though the company has yet to make an official announcement, it may be teasing the series’ next game nonetheless.

At the company’s recent shareholders meeting, when asked about whether Bandai Namco was working on a new Tales game to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, a representative was reluctant to offer a concrete answer, but seemed to hint at future announcements that are yet to be made.

“There are some things I can’t tell you here, but please look forward to future official announcements,” they said, as reported on Twitter by @gasu_y (via Push Square).

The Tales franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations are happening next year, so it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see Bandai Namco commemorating that with the launch of a new instalment for the franchise, especially given the fact that it will have been four years since the release of Tales of Arise by next year.

Interestingly enough, Bandai Namco has a Summer Showcase planned for the Anime Expo on July 5- could we see the company make an announcement related to Tales there, even if it’s not necessarily an anime-related game? Or perhaps we’ll have to wait until Tokyo Game Show this September? Either way, it looks like the series’ next entry may not be too far away now, so hopefully we’ll hear more about it in the coming months.
