With Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth now in our rearview mirror, questions about what developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will release next are growing louder, and we may have got our first hint at what that next title will be.

Spotted by @Wario64 on Twitter, Sega has registered a trademark for something called Yakuza Wars in Japan. Yakuza was, of course, the name that the Like a Dragon franchise was known by in the West until not that long ago. The filing itself doesn’t give much away about what exactly this new project is, but judging by the name, from a tactics spinoff to a Dynasty Warriors-style game, it could be any number of things.

Interestingly, speaking last month about its next game, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio said that fans are likely to be surprised by it. Whatever the game is, it’s going to be unveiled at Tokyo Game Show this September.

Later in the year, on October 24, Like a Dragon: Yakuza will also premiere on Amazon Prime.
