Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was confirmed to be in development for PS4 and Xbox One roughly a year ago, and an age rating in June suggested that the action-adventure title’s last-gen port wasn’t too far away. Its release date has now officially been announced.

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will launch for PS4 and Xbox One on September 17. It will be sold at a cheaper price of $49.99, while an upgrade path to the current-gen versions will also be available. EA says the port will “feature a variety of optimizations aimed at maximizing the hardware capabilities” of last-gen consoles.

At the same time, a patch is also being released for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s PC version, which will “bring enhancements to the game’s technical performance, controls and more, plus a variety of quality-of-life improvements”. The patch is arriving sometime in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more details on that front.

In the meantime, the game’s PS4 and Xbox One versions can now be pre-ordered, with pre-order bonuses including several cosmetics, namely the Hermit Cosmetic (inspired by the design of Obi-Wan Kenobi), the Hermit Lightsaber Set, and the Combustion Blaster Set.

In our review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s launch last year, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Its performance leaves something to be desired, but Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is still an essential experience for genre fans and Star Wars fanatics.” Read the full review through here.
