During its quarterly earnings report, EA has reported that recently-released action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is doing quite well against the company’s expectation, and when compared to its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated during the earnings call (via VGC) that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is already seeing “millions” of players, and referred to its sales figures as pacing “very strongly” compared to expectations.

“On Jedi, we’re overjoyed,” said Wilson during the call. “We made the bold decision to move the title six weeks to give the team the opportunity to really get to the quality of the game that they wanted.”

While no solid sales data for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released, Wilson seemed quite happy about the game’s performance. Despite the game having come out only 11 days before the earnings call, the company seems quite pleased about the title’s sales figures.

“I think we’re building on where we were with Jedi: Fallen Order and it’s certainly been a very strong launch for us,” said Wilson. “It’s very early, I think we’re 11 days in at this point, we’re in a different kind of market dynamic, but I would tell you it’s pacing very strongly against our expectations and against Jedi: Fallen Order.”

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released late last month. Despite facing quite a few technical issues, however, the game saw quite a bit of success on launch, peaking at over 67,000 concurrent players on Steam in its launch week. The game also beat its predecessor’s UK launch by over 30%. Since then, it has also seen multiple updates released in hopes of reducing its technical issues.
