Game Science has announced that Black Myth: Wukong sold ten million copies as of August 23rd at 9:30 PM Beijing time. The action RPG reportedly sold over 4.5 million units on Steam, WeGame, the Epic Games Store, and PS5 on pre-orders alone at launch.

The developer also confirmed three million concurrent players across all platforms. On Steam alone, it reached a new record of 2,415,714 peak concurrent players at this time of writing. It’s the second-most played game on the platform, beating out the likes of Palworld, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and more.

You can check out our reviews for Black Myth: Wukong on PS5 and PC – we awarded it a ten out of ten on both. The Xbox Series X/S version still doesn’t have a release window, with Game Science requiring more time for polish. Stay tuned for updates on the same and news on potential DLC in the coming months.
