Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO

Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is now available worldwide for Standard Edition owners on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Though it crossed 91,000 peak concurrent players on Steam during advanced access (beating out the likes of Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8), it’s hit a new record at 122,554 players at this time of writing.

As a follow-up to Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Sparking! ZERO features 182 playable characters. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Trunks, Frieza, and other fan-favorites return while newcomers from Dragon Ball Super, like Toppo, Jiren, Cabba, Kale, Caulifla, Beerus, and Whis, are introduced. There’s a new Episode Battle mode featuring the sagas from the perspective of eight playable characters.

Custom Battle is also brand-new, allowing players to create their own dream matches with varying conditions. Online multiplayer also returns, with Destruction Point (DP) Battle offering a unique ranked experience where team-building is important.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO has had a successful launch, but there’s much more to come, with three DLC packs in the works. They include new characters from Dragon Ball Daima and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
