Silent Hill 2’s recently-released remake had its fair share of skeptics until not too long ago (yours truly included), but it’s fair to say that Bloober Team and Konami’s survival horror title has very much proven its doubters wrong. In fact, alongside widespread critical acclaim since its release, Silent Hill 2 has also enjoyed sales to match.

Konami has announced that Silent Hill 2’s digital sales and shipments have exceeded 1 million units worldwide. The horror title crossed that milestone within three days of its global release on October 8. How well the game is able to maintain momentum where sales are concerned should be interesting to see, but it’s certainly got off to an impressive start.

In our review of the game, we awarded it a score of 10/10, saying, “Bloober Team and Konami’s remake of the 2001 classic is easily one of the best survival horror games out there. The new Silent Hill 2 easily stands amongst the likes of Resident Evil 2 and Dead Space, making it a must-play game for veterans and newcomers alike.” Read the full review through here.

Silent Hill 2 is available on PS5 and PC.
