Atomfall

Rebellion Developments has released a new trailer for Atomfall, its upcoming first-person survival title launching early next year. Set in the town of Windam five years after the Windscale nuclear disaster, it sees the player investigating the activities of the British Atomic Research Division or B.A.R.D., among other things.

Windham is under the control of Protocol, with guards assigned to keep order and wait for backup (which never arrived). Meanwhile, B.A.R.D. bunkers exist, teeming with B.A.R.D. robots while various cults dot the surrounding areas. The latter are armed with less advanced weapons like bows, cricket bats, and axes while erecting wickermen and conducting rituals.

That’s not including the surrounding caves, where glowing mushrooms and mutants reign supreme. Players must scavenge for different weapons and often craft ammo since it’s in short supply.

Atomfall launches in March 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. It’s also available on day one for Game Pass. Head here to learn more about its influences.
