It won’t be too long before Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is out and in the hands of audiences, but until then, its predecessor is continuing to enjoy steady sales. In fact, over the course of the last few months, it seems to have seen increased sales momentum.
Taking to Twitter, developer Warhorse Studios announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance has now sold over 8 million copies worldwide across all platforms, having originally released back in 2018. The studio announced in February this year that the game had sold over 6 million units, which means it has sold an additional 2 million units since then, an impressive number for a six-year old game.
And what’s contributed to those sales this far our from the game’s original release? Kingdom Come: Deliverance released for the Nintendo Switch in March, and clearly, the open world action RPG has enjoyed solid sales on the platform, even though Warhorse Studios or publisher Plaion haven’t explicitly said so. It’s also likely that the announcement of its sequel in April will have contributed to renewed interest in the original.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
