Kaz Hirai to become Sony President; Howard Stringer CEO

Kazuo Hirai is set to become Sony president, and Howard Stringer the CEO, according to a report in Nikkei. He is set to become president in April, and hopefully he should turn things around at Sony.

He was the President and CEO of Sony’s gaming division earlier and rose through the ranks. He relinquished his position to Andrew House and is now the undisputed head of Sony.

Kaz Hirai was the same guy who bought us the PSP Go, and the Xperia Play. So is this good news for the Sony gaming division? It is clear that he has faced failure before, so he can shape the PS4 well.

One thing good to come out from this is that, Sony will invest more in their gaming division, which is good news for the gamers out there.
