It’s official: Elden Ring Nightreign is a success for Bandai Namco and FromSoftware, shipping over two million copies in less than a day. However, there are still plenty of issues, not the least of which includes unbalanced solo play. Thankfully, the development team is aware and confirmed a patch for next week.
Patch 1.02 will increase the amount of Runes earned during solo expeditions and also allows for automatically reviving once after defeat during night boss battles. Other bug fixes are also inbound, though we’ll find out more details when the patch notes go live.
Elden Ring Nightreign is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox One for $39.99. Check out our review, where we scored it an eight out of ten, praising the signature FromSoftware combat, art direction and overall rogue-like approach.
While it’s not a live-service title, it will receive additional DLC in Q4 2025. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
