Devolver Digital’s publishing label, Big Fan Games, has announced that John Wick Hex, an action strategy title based on the film franchise, will be delisted on July 17th. Those who currently own the game can still access it digitally and physically, but it won’t be available for purchase.
Developed by Bithell Games (which recently released Tron: Catalyst to above-average reviews), Hex features an original story starring the infamous Baba Yaga himself. While Keanu Reeves doesn’t lend his voice, you can look forward to actors Lance Reddick and Ian McShane reprising their characters.
Though a reason for the game’s delisting wasn’t revealed, it could be due to licensing costs. John Wick Hex launched in 2019 for PC via the Epic Games Store and eventually released for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam. It garnered some positive reviews but ultimately achieved Metascores in the 70s. Check out our review for more details – we also gave it a seven out of ten.
