Helldivers 2 - Redacted Regiment

Bad things are seemingly afoot for Helldivers 2 players with a new Illuminate structure spotted in the latest Major Order media. Fortunately, the Ministry of Defense Research and Development is sending some new equipment and the theme this time is “special ops.” Check out the trailer for the Redacted Regiment Premium Warbond.

It includes two new primary weapons: The mid-range R-72 Censor rifle, complete with a suppressor, and the AR-59 Suppressor, which is a full-auto assault rifle. The P-35 Re-Educator serves as a secondary pistol and can fire darts that cause organic enemies (like Terminids and Illuminates) to hallucinate. Use it on the Automatons, and they’ll suffer more than their fair share of glitches.

Of course, “special ops” doesn’t just mean stealth. Cue the B/MD C4 Pack Stratagem, which contains six C4 charges. Set them up and either detonate them separately or all at once. There’s also the TM-01 Lure Mine, which attracts anyone dumb enough to notice its light show. It can even be attached to different surfaces.

New armor sets include the RS-89 Shadow Paragon light armor and the RS–67 Null Cipher medium armor, each armed with “Reduced Signature.” It’s a new passive which not only makes you quieter but also reduces enemy detection range, adding to the tactical fantasy. You also get new player cars, caps, and a new booster, Concealed Insertion, which creates a smokescreen as soon as your Hellpod lands.

The Redacted Regiment Premium Warbond goes live on January 20th, and should accompany other changes, so stay tuned for more details.
