If you’ve been concerned about your PC not being able to run Big Fire’s Cinder City thanks to the massive recommended RAM requirements on its Steam Store listing, your dystopian dream is still alive.
The studio has issued a clarification on those specs, tuning it down to a modest 32 GB, along with a statement indicating that the requirement may further decrease as the game is optimised over the course of its development. There’s an apology to those of you who might have been disappointed at having to potentially miss out on a multiplayer shooter that’s bringing a lot to like to the table. Unfortunately, it seems that a stronger GPU will be required, with a GeForce RTX 4070 recommended over an RTX 4060.
Regardless, those not keen on multiplayer could take it on solo, but this one’s looking like it’s built to be explored with a group of trusted comrades at your side, and its enemy designs will have you feeling grateful about other players shouldering some of the burden. The story and setting on this one are pretty interesting, too, and we can’t wait to learn about a concrete release date for this one, which is currently targeting the second half of 2026.
