The Crew Motorfest Is Making Its Way To The Switch 2 on October 8th

Race across the Hawaiian archipelago on the go, as Ubisoft’s Forza Horizon competitor is still going strong three years later.

We’re beginning to think Ubisoft is finally learning to back the right horses in its stables, what with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced now only a day or two away from its release, and the announcement of a Switch 2 port for The Crew Motorfest.

After breaching the 10 million player mark, branching out to a new platform is definitely the right move. It’s an even better idea when the platform in question is Nintendo’s portable powerhouse that’s sure to bring this one’s vibrant world and blindingly fast action to life.

Of course, those visuals are nothing to scoff at either, and we often think of this one as an equally talented sibling to the Forza Horizon franchise. The Switch 2 version’s coming with a lot of updates and improvements to the release build we reviewed back in the day, and they’re enough to make it a very attractive option if you’re looking for an arcade racer that does the job well.

There’s a lot to like about The Crew Motorfest, and we doubt that the playable five-hour free trial (live on all current platforms) is enough time to uncover everything. It’s a good start, though, and you might just decide to dive into it on your Switch 2 when it launches on October 8.
