We were quite eager for it to drop, and quite happy to tell you that EA Sports NHL 27’s first trailer is finally there. It showcases some pretty strong visuals and gameplay, while lifting the veil on the highly anticipated Connected Franchise Online Mode. And you won’t have to wait long to play – it’s out on September 11th for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Each arena has been designed to retain its distinctive flavor in what’s going to be a very immersive feature for all you hockey fans out there. Revamped mechanics also make each team’s controls and tactical plays vary enough to feel unique and aligned with their real-world counterparts (which is a lot of playtime, given the 32 different teams for you to choose from). The new presentation and broadcasting seem pretty on point from the trailer, but we’ve learned to temper our expectations on that front over the years.
Of course, Connected Franchise is probably going to be the star of the show since so many of you have been asking for it. Building your teams seems pretty seamless, but we’d probably wait for the full release before we make any comments. There’s Macklin Celebrini’s presence among the ranks of your best players to look forward to as well.
