It’s a short but meaningful list of fixes addressing several issues we’ve all been talking about, especially given the mixed launch.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam does well to bring the chaotic vibe of battles in the jungles of Vietnam to life, but it’s no secret that there’s room for improvement, which we explicitly noted in our review.

Well, Expression Games has heard a lot of the feedback it’s receiving and has acted quite quickly to roll out the first hotfix ahead of its upcoming content roadmap reveal tomorrow. On PC, AMD CPUs should see improved stability, while a rather annoying audio glitch on the PS5 has been resolved.

But the bulk of the improvements are with regard to the game’s servers. Improved functionality and server stability are the highlights for quite a few improvements. We’re quite happy that full servers aren’t going to be displayed from now on, while lower-ping servers with available space are going to be prioritized. That’s going to make getting into the action a lot easier which is always a good thing, especially in a game like this where the more the merrier in terms of player count per match.

It’s a good start, and we’re hoping it’s an entry in an opening chapter that builds up to something truly special in the near future with this one. Stay tuned for more updates and check out the full hotfix notes below.

Hotfix 1 Notes:

  • AMD GPU Stability: Further stability improvements have been implemented for players using AMD GPUs.
  • Additional Official Servers: We’re continuing to roll out additional Official Servers across all regions to help meet player demand.
  • Server Stability: Further server stability fixes have been implemented.
  • Server Browser Improvements: We’ve made several changes to make it easier to identify and join servers with available spaces:
  • The Server Browser will now refresh automatically more frequently to better reflect currently available slots.
  • Full servers will now be hidden from the default server list. You can still find these servers by adjusting your Server Browser filters.
  • The Server Browser algorithm has been updated to prioritize low-ping servers with 80 or fewer players, helping players find servers with available space.
  • Server Crashes: Fixed server crashes that could occur when broadcasting a message via RCON or when using NVA Tunnels.
  • PlayStation 5 Audio: Resolved an issue that could cause audio to cut out for a period of time on PlayStation 5.
