Code Vein 2 – Mask of Idris has been on our list of awesome stuff to play for a while, and it now has a release date with a new teaser announcing a September 9 release alongside a glimpse of a desolate world.
We already know it’s the Forbidden World, and that it’s indeed a dark place with a lot of negative sentiments underlining its very existence. Of course, your time-travelling shenanigans could be just what it needs to implement a more permanent solution, and we can’t wait to meet new faces and places in a game that’s done well to make both of those quite engaging.
A new companion is waiting, which means that there’s going to be a memorable story to uncover already, and that’s not even thinking about whatever the expansion’s narrative has to offer.
Of course, new endgame content for the base game is slated to drop alongside the expansion in case that isn’t enough of a reason to pull some of you away from a rather crowded calendar in the same release window. You can bet we’ll dive right into this one and polish it off once it drops. Check out our review of the base game in the meantime.
