We could tell that Frogwares was trying something new in The Sinking City 2, an effort that came with a healthy blend of ambition and enthusiasm, which was evident when we got to sit down with the team.
Well, we were glad to be right when joining Calvin’s search for a way to save his partner Faye, as Arkham serves as a lively stage for the adventure despite being desolate and partially flooded. It was definitely part of the overall charm that helped it score quite well when we reviewed the game. A new update is live, bringing a very long list of fixes and improvements.
We’re not diving too far into the fixes, although they are quite extensive. But the features are a different story. HDR support on PC and PSSR support on PS5 Pro are the big ones, alongside AMD FSR support, DLSS Legacy mode, and dual-monitor support. That’s going to make this one even more immersive than it already is, which is a very good thing considering how it underlines each scene with tension.
Of course, we aren’t the only ones who praised this title – check out the new accolades trailer below to see what other critics think. The Sinking City 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version out in 2027.
