Cygames’ Where the Seeds Fall is definitely on our radar after a new trailer showing us more of its gameplay loop, which involves navigating its world’s crumbling architecture with leaps into the depths that require a bit of strategy. Or maybe, as the developer touts, a leap of faith (possibly three).
The story of a soldier who looks to escape the World Tree with a Fell Child, a being supposed to be a portent of Doom but who happens to look just like his daughter, is certainly alluring. However, the world’s melancholic vibe and unique art style intrigue us, almost like ICO’s ethereal nature meeting The Last of Us‘s bonding , and facing hostiles aggressively or with a quieter approach is something we can’t wait to experience firsthand. Alongside the PS5, Where the Seeds Fall is also coming to PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
What’s more, a playable demo is out now on Steam for those who want to try its jumping mechanics without spoiling too much of the story. Whether it launches on other platforms after its November 5th release date remains unknown, but we’ll certainly dive in when it does, so stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
