After that slick overview trailer and previews, you wouldn’t think Nintendo would have surprises in the wings for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. However, it’s dropped not one but two new short trailers, the first on Link’s ocarina melodies and the second highlighting combat.
While the former has plenty of gorgeous sights, the latter arguably steals the show. It shows Ganondorf famously playing the organ – a prelude to the final battle between good and evil. Then there’s Dark Link, who Adult Link encounters in the Water Temple and…does anything else really need to be said? He stands on Link’s sword, as if daring him to make a move, looking as cool as possible.
It’s probably a little too much for those who prefer the remake to be exactly like the original, but it feels just right for the vibe that Nintendo is going for. Of course, the visuals look downright fantastic, whether you’re traversing the vast fields of Hyrule, navigating the Ferry to the Other World or battling Morpha, the fluid dungeon boss.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake launches on November 5th for Nintendo Switch 2. Though it’s the other big game out next month (aside from a little thing called GTA 6), it seems others would disagree. Head here for more details.
