Double Fine has plenty of money to fund their project: $2 million accumulated

Posted By | On 20th, Feb. 2012

Crowd funding is a massive success it seems. Double Fine needed $400,000 to fund their point-and-click adventure game for the PC, Android, iOS, Mac and Linux, and they have surpassed that in a mere eight days.

It helps if the studio is renowned and has a recognizable entity like Tim Shafer. I don’t think any studio will be able to accomplish what has happened here. That’s right, the kickstarter funding attempt for Double Fine’s new game has soared to $2 million so far.

Shafer has mentioned that they need $20 million to create Pyschonauts 2 – so that means $18 million to go! Keep at it folks.
