After such a long wait, all the BioWare and mass Effect fans are finally getting what they wanted. BioWare has announced that they will be releasing a new DLC for Mass Effect 3 that will add extra cinematic epilogue sequences to provide “more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey.”
“We are all incredibly proud of Mass Effect 3 and the work done by [Mass Effect series executive producer] Casey Hudson and team. Since launch, we have had time to listen to the feedback from our most passionate fans and we are responding,” BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka said.
“With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team’s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe.”
Mass Effect creator Casey Hudson added: “We have reprioritised our post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalised for each player.”
So, finally, eh? Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut releases on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this summer. It’ll be a free DLC, so you don’t get to complain about that either.
